This policy covers the current iPhone version of Still: Decibel & Sound Meter, developed by Artur Smolin.

Microphone and measurements

Still asks for microphone permission when you start measuring. Audio samples are processed on your iPhone to calculate sound levels and frequency information, then discarded. This version does not save audio recordings or upload microphone audio.

Saved measurements, titles, notes, manually entered places and operator names stay in the app’s storage on your device. Still does not request location permission. Exported files are shared only when you choose a destination in the system share sheet. That destination’s privacy policy then applies. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings.

Purchases and Adapty

Apple processes payments. Still uses Adapty to load the purchase offer, verify purchases and restore access. Adapty receives purchase and transaction information, an app profile identifier, technical app/device information and purchase-screen interaction events. These support access management and purchase analytics. Measurement levels, audio, notes, place names and operator names are not sent to Adapty.

Still disables Adapty’s advertising-identifier (IDFA) and IP-address collection options. Still has no advertising or cross-app tracking integration. Network providers necessarily handle connection information to deliver requests. See Adapty’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy for their handling of service and purchase data.

Notifications and background measurement

Noise alerts use local notifications after permission. You can disable them in Still or iPhone Settings. Background microphone use is optional and remains subject to iOS permissions and interruptions.

Retention and your choices

You can delete saved measurements in Still or remove the app and its local data through iPhone Settings. Exported copies and device backups are managed separately by you and their storage providers. Purchase records held by Apple and Adapty are separate from local measurements and may be retained for access restoration, accounting and applicable legal obligations.

For access, correction or deletion requests concerning information we process, contact hello@arvetech.com with “Still privacy” in the subject. We may need information to identify the relevant app profile; do not send microphone recordings or unrelated sensitive information.

Website and support

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes network requests to deliver and protect the site. It uses no advertising cookies or analytics scripts. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send and use it to respond.
